Day 1
WELCOMING IN BOGOTA
A person from our team will be waiting for you at your arrival time at El Dorado Airport in Bogota and will take you to the hotel. On the way, he will give you a briefing of the whole experience with some advice and recommendations for a pleasant trip. Subsequently, you will have the rest of the day free at leisure, having time to recover from the flight or explore the city by yourself.
Day 2
BOGOTA FREE DAY OF ACCLIMATIZATION
On this day, you will have a free day in Bogotá in order to recover from your international flight and acclimatize to the weather of the Andean region. Your hotel is located in the most modern area of the city, close to great restaurants. You can explore the city on your own, or hire a tour with us, which can be a graffiti, a fruit or a city-tour, a visit to Monserrate church, or to a hummingbird reserve among other options.
Day 3
CAÑO CRISTALES DAY 1
On this day, you will fly from Bogotá to La Macarena (06:00-11:00) depending on the flight schedule for that day. Once there, you will be taken to the hotel. After that, you will receive a talk by the local authorities of the National Park. In the afternoon, you will visit one of the attractions near the town, such as Caño Cristalitos, Caño Piedra, Botanical Garden or others depending on group availability for that day, having a local integration night.
Day 4
CAÑO CRISTALES DAY 2
On this day, you will have your first visit to the main river of Caño Cristales: firstly, you will have a 15 minutes boat ride and then a 30 minutes transfer in a 4x4 car. Once there, you will start one of the hikes by this 5-colors river, which is unique in the world. There are different routes that are assigned by environmental authorities according to the physical level of the group. At the end of the day, you will be taken back to the hotel.
Day 5
CAÑO CRISTALES DAY 3
On this day, you will navigate for the second time the Guayabero River for 1 hour until you arrive at the area of the Raudal de Angosturas, where you will have a hike by one of the two trails of the place visiting the rock city or aguas claras river (upon availability for groups of 4 people or more on the day of the visit) or you will visit La Laguna del Silencio having a canoe activity there. At the end of the day, you will return to the hotel.
Day 6
CAÑO CRISTALES DAY 4 + PEREIRA
On this day, you can do a sunrise activity at 5:00 AM, then have breakfast, and after that you will be taken to La Macarena Airport in order to take a flight to Pereira with a stopover in Bogota (Sundays, Wednesdays & Fridays). Once there, you will be taken to your hotel located in the town of Salento, which is a typical town of the coffee region, with colorful houses, very walkable and with nice coffee shops, restaurants and secrets to be discovered.
Day 7
EL NIDO DEL CONDOR 1
On this day, we will start at 8:00 AM checking out from the hotel, before heading to one of the most famous landscapes of Colombia: The Cocora Valley, which has the tallest palms of the world and the national tree: the Wax Palm. In the afternoon you will have a 3-hours transfer by the marvelous mountains of the coffee region heading towards El Nido del Condor, where you will be transported in a gondola that passes through the canyon where the hotel is located.
Day 8
EL NIDO DEL CONDOR 2
On this day, you will be able to explore the various trails and attractions that exist in this reserve, which is especially famous for the conservation of the Andean Condor, which is the national bird. You will have 3 options for guided walks through the reserve where you will be supporting this project located in a canyon, surrounded by marvelous nature and with a great concept of an isolated lodge where you can also enjoy incredible views.
Day 9
NEVADO DEL RUIZ
On this day, you will have breakfast and after that will leave the reserve again by the gondola you entered. Then you will have a 2- hours transfer to Nevado del Ruiz, where you can get to see this snow-capped volcano located at 5.335 m.a.s.l. In the afternoon you will be taken in a 2-hours transfer to the lodge chosen, which is very famous for its coffee plantations, being one of the most traditional haciendas of the region.
Day 10
JARDÍN
On this day, you will have breakfast and after that will leave the reserve again by the gondola you entered. Then you will have a 6- transfer to Jardin, passing by wild mountains and roads full of green landscapes. On the way you will have the chance to observe different bird species on the last part of the road before arriving to Jardin. Once you arrive, you will check-in at the hotel and can enjoy this town, which is one of the most beautiful in the area.
Day 11
ANDEAN COCK-OF-THE-ROCK
On this day, after breakfast, you will visit the Andean cock-of-the-rock reserve, where you can easily observe this famous bird in an identified lek of the place. After lunch you can visit some waterfalls of the region, where you can enjoy the pristine nature of this unspoiled destination, you can visit the lookout with a great view of the area or you can just relax in this quiet town that has several secrets to be discovered in its walkable streets.
Day 12
MEDELLIN
On this day, after breakfast you will have a 4 hours ground transfer to Medellin. Once there, you will be welcomed and taken to your hotel located in El Poblado neighborhood, a great area of this city, which is easy to get by and you will have a free afternoon. Your hotel also has one of the greatest restaurants of the city and there are nice places to visit in this, which is named the eternal-spring city due to its great weather all year round.
Day 13
CARTAGENA
On this day, you will have a transfer to the airport of Pereira for your flight to Cartagena. Once you arrive, you will be taken to the hotel in the walled city and then you will have a 4-hours city-tour, visiting the main spots of the city of Cartagena, which has a strong heritage of Spanish architecture mixed with the colors and vibes of Caribbean vibes. At the end of the day, you discover the secrets of the walled city by yourself.
Day 14
NATIONAL AVIARY + ARARCA COMMUNITY
On this day, you have a guided tour to the National Aviary of Cartagena, where you can see hundreds of different species in a conservation place. After that, you will visit the community of Ararca, where you can participate in the restoration project of mangroves led by local communities. You will have lunch there and can experience their dances and their fishing activities, getting a close contact with them, before heading back to the hotel.
Day 15
FLIGHT OUT
On this day, you will have breakfast at the hotel. You will have a transfer included to take you to the international airport of Cartagena in order to be 3 hours before your flight out the country or 2 hours before flight connections inside Colombia.

REDUCTION OF WASTE GENERATION
We promote the reduction of waste generation from single-use plastics, so we recommend bringing your own non-disposable rigid container to refill water in hotels, especially for days when outdoor activities are planned.
VACCINES
Currently, there is no major outbreak of contagious disease or mosquito transmission in the areas to be visited. However, if there is an outbreak or important biological risk in the destinations to be visited, it will be informed in a timely manner prior to the trip.
