This tour is designed for soft wildlife enthusiasts, where you will visit different spots in Colombia surrounded by great nature and where you will also have the chance to observe some fauna & flora species. Our country is known for being the most biodiverse in the world per square kms.
Here you can expect to visit great ecolodges with beautiful details and have a comfortably experience visiting also the main cities of the country. You will be able to admire great and very diverse landscapes by completely different ecosysrems at each region, also with the chance to observe wildlife, depending how deep in nature you want to get at each destination.

WELCOMING IN BOGOTÁ
On this first day, a person from our team will be waiting for you at your arrival time at El Dorado Airport in Bogotá and will take you to the hotel. Afterwards, you will have the rest of the day free, having time to recover from the flight, enjoy the hotel facilities or explore the city on your own.
MONSERRATE & HUMMINGBIRDS
On this day, after breakfast, you will have a half-day tour of 4 hours approx., starting at 9:00 AM at the lobby of the hotel (the hour can change if you need more recover from the international flight), where you will get by cable car Monserrate church located at 3.100 m.a.s.l. where you will visit a hummingbird trail with feeders up in the mountain, where you can see some endemic species of the region with an expert. Later on, you will be taken back to the hotel.
CAÑO CRISTALES -DAY 1
On this day, you will have a charter flight to La Macarena town scheduled at 06:30 AM. Once there, you will be welcomed by the local team and receive guidelines from the local authorities to visit the attractions of the whole region. You will visit Caño Cristalitos, the lookout of the Sierra de La Macarena and after that will arrive at La Manigua Lodge where you will check-in and will have a monkey sighting inside this private protected area.
CAÑO CRISTALES - DAY 2
On this day, you will have your first visit to the main river of Caño Cristales, first, you will have a 15-mins boat ride and then a 30-mins transfer in a 4x4. Once there, you will start one of the hikes by this 5-colors river. There are different trails that range from 4 up to 16 kms that are assigned by the authorities according to the physical level of the group. At the end of the day, you will have a cocoa or music experience before returning to the hotel.
CAÑO CRISTALES - DAY 3
On this day, you will navigate the Guayabero River for 30-mins, in a less visited area, where you will be able to see more river wildlife such as caimans, turtles, butterflies, birds, among others, until you arrive at the area of the Raudal de Angosturas, where you will have a hike by one of the two trails of the place visiting the Rock City or Aguas Claras river that also offers red colors. At the end of the day, you will return by boat to the Lodge.
CAÑO CRISTALES - DAY 4 + MEDELLIN
On this day, you can do a sunrise activity at 5:00 AM or other activities depending on the schedule of your flight. You will be taken to La Macarena Airport to take a direct flight to Medellin (on Mondays and Fridays) or with a connection through Bogota (the rest of the days). Once there, you will be received at the airport and taken to your hotel located in El Poblado neighborhood, a great area of this city, having the afternoon at leisure.
MEDELLIN PRIVATE TOUR
On this day, you will have a full-day customizable tour where you can visit some of the most famous activities in this city such as the Comuna 13, where you can see the transformation and evolution from a violence past to a modern city or walk by the famous spots of the downtown. But you can also choose to do different thematic tours regarding history, social innovation, music, art, fruit, cultural tours, among other options that this city has to offer.
BAHIA SOLANO - DAY 1
On this day, you will have a direct 45-minutes flight from Medellin to BahIa Solano. You will be welcomed by the local team that will take you to the hotel in front of the beach where you will check-in. Once there, you will have lunch and will have a jungle hike in the afternoon by the natural reserve where the lodge is located, looking for continental wildlife such as frogs, monkeys, birds, among other endemic species of the region.
BAHIA SOLANO - DAY 2
On this day, after breakfast you will have a 3-hours whale-watching activity in the ocean in shared boats (only available from July to mid-October) with the guidance of an expert bilingual biologist. In the afternoon, if there is turtle activity, you will visit the olive ridley sea turtle conservation project, where you can do a liberation activity of baby turtles and with some luck you can observe the mother turtles nesting before coming back to the lodge.
BAHIA SOLANO - DAY 3
On this day, you will have a 1-hour boat transfer towards Utria National Park, where you will explore the very well-preserved mangroves ecosystems of the protected area while learning about the conservation efforts of the local authorities. You will also have time to enjoy the great diverse beaches of the national park, having some free time in Playa Blanca, which is one of the few white-sand beaches in the area, before being taken back to the hotel.
BAHIA SOLANO - DAY 4
On this day, you will have a canoe activity in order to navigate the waters of the Tundó River. Along the way, you will be able to see from butterflies to endemic birds with a local guide that will talk to you about the relation of the black and indigenous communities with nature. You can have a jungle hike looking for wildlife and refreshing waterfalls, before returning to the hotel, where you can either have a tubing activity down the river or return on the canoe.
BAHIA SOLANO - DAY 5
On this day, you can optionally wake up early in the morning in order to see birds or just have time to enjoy the ocean. After that you will have breakfast and will be taken to the airport of Bahia Solano 2 hours before your flight back to Medellin. Once there, you will have a private transfer to your hotel. You will have the afternoon free to rest after the journey in the pacific coast and get back to the comfort of the city.
GUATAPE DAY 1
On this day, you will have a full-day tour to Guatape, which is colorful town with narrow cobblestone streets, friendly people and charming houses located 2 hours from Medellin. You will also visit the Guatape rock and can walk its 740 steps to have a wonderful view of the dam, having also the option to take a helicopter flight. In the late afternoon, you will have a boat transfer your hotel inside the reservoir, where you will spend the night.
GUATAPE DAY 2
On this day, after breakfast you will have a guided hike along one of the trails of the natural reserve where the hotel is located. Here you can book a wellness activity that connects you with the nature of the place. You will have free time to enjoy the views of the hotel, relax with the calm and warm waters of the dam, do a kayaking activity, a boat tour or hire motor sports activities in this water reservoir that offers wonderful views.
FLIGHT OUT
On this day you will have breakfast at the hotel. You will have a 1.5-hours transfer to the international airport of Medellin in order to be 3 hours before your flight out the country or 2 hours before flight connections inside Colombia.

- Clothes according to weather in each destination:
• Bogotá and Chingaza National Park: Long pants, closed shoes, jacket or cardigan.
• The rest of the destinations: Light clothes.
• Long-sleeved shirts to avoid sunburn and mosquito bites during outdoor activities.
- Bring waterproof clothing and/or rain poncho, especially in the rainy season.
- Appropriate footwear for the hikes (trekking boots are advisable and at least one pair of sneakers or several pairs for change (they might get wet during the treks).

REDUCTION OF WASTE GENERATION
We promote the reduction of waste generation from single-use plastics, so we recommend bringing your own non-disposable rigid container to refill water in hotels, especially for days when outdoor activities are planned.
VACCINES
Currently, there is no major outbreak of contagious disease or mosquito transmission in the areas to be visited. However, if there is an outbreak or important biological risk in the destinations to be visited, it will be informed in a timely manner prior to the trip.
