In this experience you will visit the most traditional spots of Villa de Leyva. You will have lunch in one of the best restaurants in town and subsequently you will have a tour on the outskirts of Villa de Leyva visiting places such as: El fósil, Ecce homo sanctuary and the charming town of Ráquira, famous for its handicrafts, ending getting back to Villa de Leyva.

WELCOMING IN RAQUIRA FOR A WORSHOP DAY
On this day, you will be pick up at 8:00 a.m. for a 4-hrs. private transfer to the town of Raquira. Once there, you will have lunch with a typical “picada” of the region and in the afternoon, we will have a 3.5-hrs. tour of the town with an activity with artisans with whom you will have a pottery workshop to mold clay pots, followed by a workshop of tagua handicrafts. At the end of the afternoon, we will take you to the hotel in Villa de Leyva.
CITY TOUR IN VILLA DE LEYVA
On this day, after breakfast, you will have a 2-hrs. city tour in Villa de Leyva, walking through its cobblestone streets, discovering its museums and secrets. Then we will visit the Santo Eccehomo monastery, the paleontological research center, the El Fosil Museum, and we will finish in the desert of El Infiernito, doing a stargazing activity in the astronomical observatory with a theme of anthropology and indigenous cosmovision.
AIN KARIM VINEYARD + PUENTE DE BOYACA
On this day, after breakfast, you will go to one of the vineyards in the area, where you will have a tour of the place where you will learn about the wine process from the planting of the grapes to the wine tasting. After lunch you will go to the Puente de Boyaca, where you will have a tour of this important place for the independence of the country, before heading back to Bogota, where you will arrive at 6 PM approx.

CONDICIONES METEOROLÓGICAS, CONECTIVIDAD Y BILINGÜISMO

CAJEROS AUTOMATICOS
There is good access to ATM´s and dataphones in the towns to be visited. However, it is advisable to carry cash for extra expenses in some rural areas in the destination.
SEÑAL TELEFÓNICA Y WI-FI
You will visit a destination where the signal varies according to your location, there will be places like the main areas of towns where there is strong signal, but you will also visit several rural and natural areas where you might have poor or non-existent phone connectivity.

PROPINA
La propina no es obligatoria, pero si lo considera puede dar una propina a los guías con una cantidad de 20.000 a 50.000 COP (5 a 12 USD aprox.) por día de servicio.
ESTACIONES
- La estación seca en Colombia va de mediados de noviembre a marzo, y en este periodo del año se puede esperar que las excursiones sean más fáciles y llueva menos en general.
- El nivel del agua será más bajo y las excursiones en general serán más fáciles, ya que habrá menos barro y los senderos estarán más secos.
- Llegar en coche a los senderos fuera de la carretera será más fácil, lo que acortará los tiempos de transporte a esos puntos situados en zonas muy rurales.
- Las aves migratorias pueden ser más fáciles de avistar durante la estación seca.
- La temporada de lluvias comienza en abril y termina a mediados de noviembre, siendo mayo y octubre los meses más lluviosos en Colombia y de junio a septiembre un periodo de lluvias más suaves.
- En la época de lluvias se pueden ver las cascadas y los ríos con niveles altos y más imponentes, con una vegetación más verde.
