The Otún Quimbaya Fauna and Flora Sanctuary is located in the Risaralda region and is made up of 90% Andean forests. Its main attraction is its biodiversity, with its howler monkeys, whose cries can be heard up to more than 14 km, its spectacled bears, the paramo tapir, eagles, deer and numerous birds.

Chingaza National Park is located less than 60 Kms away from the financial center of Bogota. It provides nearly 80% of the drinkable water of Bogotá and sorrounding towns, being the main source of water for more than 10 million people. In this 2-days tour you will get to know the Paramo ecosystem, but also will get deeper in this National Park, in order to see the Chingaza Lagoon and have more chances to see the amazing fauna such as the White-tailed deer, its endemic birds and with some luck the Andear bear.

In our experiences to these destinations, you can experience 3-,4-,5-and 7-days expeditions where you will explore the best of those departments (provinces). You will travel mainly by boats on several rivers of different characteristic colors and majestic rapids in several indigenous territories that contain special natural wealth. You will also visit some productive projects and sustainable practices that locals are running in order to get an income while preserving the ecosystems.

Barichara is surrounded by magnificent landscapes of the Chicamocha canyon that hikers will not be able to resist exploring. This trek proposes to leave from this town until reaching the beautiful town of Los Santos passing through the tobacco crops, going down to the bottom of the Chicamocha canyon and crossing the river crossing the first toll in Colombia. We will learn more about the Guane Indigenous, who occupied the region before the arrival of the colonizers.

This 5-days experience in El Cocuy National Park is designed for people who want to be challenged to explore the 3 different trails available within the protected area and the towns of El Cocuy and Guicán in the same tour. In this plan you will reach the snow line three times located at 4,900 meters above sea level (16,000 feet) through the ‘Pulpito del Diablo’, ‘Laguna Grande de la Sierra’ and ‘Ritacuba Blanco’ trails, and also You will enjoy the hot springs of Guicán on the fourth day to recover.

You have to be prepared for basic accommodation conditions, but the reward it to be able to pass by the territories of several indigenous communities in a well preserve rainforest with pristine freshwater rivers before visiting the very special archeological site of the Lost City. It can be done at any time of the year, except when the local indigenous authorities close the trail for spiritual purposes, normally in September.
