Destination: Fauna & Flora observation

Leticia and the Amazon are located in the far south of the country. On this tour, you will visit indigenous communities in both Colombia and Peru and contribute to projects such as Musmuki and Vista Alegre in the Peruvian Amazon. Additionally, you will visit Puerto Nariño and Lake Tarapoto, directly supporting local projects and communities with your visit. On the last day, you will take a canoe trip to the buffer zone of the Amacayacu National Natural Park.

You will travel mainly by boats on several rivers of different characteristics, colors and majestic rapids in several indigenous territories that contain special natural wealth. In this tour, you will have 2 full days of Llanero Safari at Hato La Aurora in search of the Casanare ‘Big 5,’ which are: Capybara, Anaconda, Anteater, Otter, and Jaguar, as well as deer and other species. On the first day, you will take a canoe ride along the rivers surrounding the reserve, and on the last day, you can optionally do a horseback riding activity or a hike by the natural trails near the lodge observing its fauna along the way.

Here you will have the same itinerary of the 4-days experience, visiting Manaure salt flats, Cabo de La Vela, Punta Gallinas and Mayapo beaches & La Macuira National Park, but without any rush due to the extra night at the desert that will give you some flexibility in the transportations and times at the attractions in a smooth way.

This 4-days experience is designed for people that want to enjoy the desert to the fullest. Here you will visit the main touristic spots of the desert such as Manaure salt flats, Cabo de La Vela, Punta Gallinas and Mayapo beaches, but adding a visit to the little explored La Macuira National Park. In this tour you will get deeper in the desert and will be able to witness some spots far from the regular path in this region and will have a more immersive experience in this territory with the Wayúu indigenous communities.

This 3-days experience is the most popular tour to visit La Guajira desert, where you will explore the most famous attractions at the destination. Here you will witness the great landscapes of this desert that offers the ideal conditions for activities such as Kite-surfing, Sand-boarding, Quad-riding among others, having also an indigenous immersion in the Wayúu culture. The tour has daily group departures depending on the weather conditions with extreme rain that are advisable to check before the trip.

This 2-days experience is designed for people who want a quick visit to La Guajira desert, visiting Cabo de La Vela, Manaure & Mayapo beaches, where you will witness the great landscapes of this desert, having a good introduction to this indigenous territory of the Wayúu culture in a very short time.
